History:

We designed this compact facility was to meet the basic requirements of a AA County DFRS for a new modern fire station.  All basic emergency services facility requirements such as a bunk-room, sleeping and wet areas, dayroom, kitchen, PT room, and fire/EMS offices were incorporated in only 11,000 SF keeping the total cost of this facility to a minimum.  A partial green roof and other energy saving features including daylighting of the apparatus were achieved in this smaller facility.  This layout and design has become a template or prototype for future fire suburban community emergency services in this county.
